Privacy at JotZero

Short version: we store what you type, nothing more, and nothing you jot is ever sent to a third-party AI service.

What we store

Your account email, the jots you type, and the schedule preferences you set (time zone, work days, reminder time, sync day/time). That's the whole list — JotZero doesn't scrape, infer, or collect anything beyond what you explicitly enter.

How your weekly summary is made

Your weekly summary is generated by plain code running on our own servers — it groups your jots by day and formats them into a readable summary. It is not sent to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or any other AI service. Your jot content never leaves JotZero's own infrastructure to be summarized.

Who can see your data

Only you. Every jot, setting, and summary is scoped to your account at the database level — there's no view, report, or dashboard that shows another user's content, including to us. We do look at aggregate signals (like whether you're jotting on your work days) to understand whether JotZero is working, but never at what you actually wrote.

A request, not just a policy

Please don't jot passwords, API keys, or confidential company information. JotZero is for tracking what you did— “fixed the login bug” — not the sensitive specifics of how. Keeping jots at that level is what makes JotZero something your employer can be comfortable with you using.

Third parties we use

Supabase hosts our database and handles authentication. Resend delivers the emails JotZero sends you (reminders and summaries). Neither is an AI service, and neither receives your jot content for any purpose other than storing it (Supabase) or emailing it to you (Resend).

Deleting your data

You can permanently delete your account and every jot, setting, and summary tied to it from the Settings page at any time — it's not a request you have to wait on us for.
